Road Rage Shooting Closes Busy CT Street

A road rage incident in Connecticut in which one person was shot and seriously injured has closed a busy street.

The incident occurred in Hartford County around 6 a.m. Tuesday, April 16, at 395 Broad St., in Bristol.

According to Lt. Geoffrey Lund of the Bristol Police, Broad Street is closed between Emmett Street and Todd Street due to the ongoing investigation. This area is expected to be closed through the afternoon.

The man shot was airlifted to a trauma center, and the second person involved remained on the scene, Lund said.

"There is no threat to the public, and this is an isolated incident," Lund added.
